All About Azeeta Designs...
Azeeta Nikoui, the designer and driving force behind Azeeta Designs, began making jewelry for fun in high school. Excited by her new-found hobby, Azeeta gave away her creations to friends and teachers as gifts. As word about her jewelry was passed around her town, Azeeta was soon invited to sell at local boutiques and fairs. Her jewelry sold very well at these boutiques, often times selling out before it was time to head home. Inspired by this success, Azeeta made the decision to move her fledgling business to Etsy.com in 2009. Azeeta Designs has grown steadily in size, scope, and vision ever since.
Azeeta is an alumni of both Diablo Valley College in Pleasant Hill, CA and San Francisco State University. Azeeta earned her degree in small business management from Diablo Valley College in 2011. It was in a business communication class, while working towards that degree, that she met her future boyfriend and partner, Adam Borden. In addition to their business interests Adam and Azeeta shared a passion for music. She is a vocalists and he is a trumpet player. They can be found gracing stages across the San Francisco Bay Area on most weekends. As the sparks flew, Adam and Azeeta partnered up in order to take Azeeta Designs to the next level. They currently work together at their residence and workshop in Concord, California with a few others who have joined team along the way.
Both Azeeta and Adam believe in education and continue to further their own, as well as the education of others. Azeeta continues to take jewelry and metal-smithing classes at the studio space provided by the arts department at Diablo Valley College and is constantly striving to improve her methods and designs. She is eager to share he gift and often teaches others how to make jewelry and set up their own online stores. Adam is in his senior year at UC Berkeley, earning a degree in the Rhetoric of Political Discourse. In addition his studies, and work with Azeeta Designs, he teaches music privately to young horn players in the area.
